The Cure’s second Single ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ was recorded in 1979 and released on Fiction Records - going on to hit the UK Top 40 in both 1986 & 2026.
The ‘86 version was accompanied by a Video which brought to life the iconic photo featured on the record cover, with three child-actors dressed as the band miming in front of a silhouette curtain and the actual band members performing in-sync behind them - as shadows with glowing red eyes!
With over one billion plays, the song has become one of The Cure’s best known and most streamed tracks.
