Shed 7 formed in York in 1990 and ‘Chasing Rainbows’ was the ninth of the band's fifteen Top 40 Singles in the UK. It was released on Polydor Records in November '96 and went on to receive Gold Certification from the BPI.
Taken from their third studio album 'Let It Ride', the song was inspired by the homesickness they felt on the road. They officially broke up in 2003, but reformed for a Greatest Hits Tour in 2007, which led to more dates and a new studio Album in 2017.The band continues to tour & release new material, with their 2024 Album 'A Matter Of Time' becoming their first Number 1 and their retrospective 'Liquid Gold' LP also topping the UK Album Chart the same year.
So the secret's out - our version of this 90's Britpop Anthem can't be hidden any more and there’s no denying it...
